If you are reading this, then you are reading the first post on my new website! I began blogging over four years ago, because I had a passion and wanted to have an avenue to share it. What was that passion? To inform and support as many women as possible in their birth options. The last four years have been a learning experience with a lot of growth, hardships, and incredible blessings.
Last year, I wanted to meet women face to face, so I began speaking at public events. It brought my work full circle for me. To talk to, listen, inspire, and hug thousands of women (and men) the last two years has been my fuel to keep moving forward! This year, I still spoke for other events, but also planned and spoke at nine of my own. Wow! Each of them have been unique, beautiful, inspiring, and healing experiences for many women (and a few men), including myself. I am currently planning on many more for the upcoming year.
What brought me to this point?
Being a wife and mother. We grow in ways we never could with marriage and motherhood. All five of my births have been very different. As has mothering each of these amazing human beings. I’ve had amazing ups and really deep lows. The lows are what humble me. Humble us. It’s through the hardest experiences of our lives that we work through, come out the other side, and are stronger and wiser than we were before. They are hard and painful, but necessary. There is no way I would be where I am without these experiences and without being a mother.
I already have an amazing platform with Birth Without Fear, so why this? Birth Without Fear is an amazing resource and community I built from scratch. It’s inclusive, supportive, and amazing. To me it’s work, but it is beautiful work. However, it’s not for me. It’s for the thousands of women and men who turn to it for information and support. That’s the beauty of it.
It’s part of me, but not all of me.
I can’t be categorized under Birth Without Fear. Instead it should be the other way around. Pregnancy and birth have been and are a huge part of my life, but they are not all of it. I want to be able to share, learn, grow, and inspire others in all aspects of life. Whether it be to live without fear (something I’ve truly stared in the face the last two years and overcome many times), or to love oneself (a journey I’ve also been on and love to talk about), motherhood, women’s rights, human rights, and so on.
Well, with #beardbaby on the way, be prepared for updates on my pregnancy and definitely a lot of sass. As well as more speaking on life, love, and other passions and blog posts to inspire you in every aspect of your life. You can also follow me on Instagram and Facebook. If you have questions or if you want to share a personal story from your life and growth, email me! I can’t promise how fast I’ll get back to you, but I do read all emails.
I’m so glad you are here. Now, hold onto your panties, because I’m gonna take you for a crazy ride!
