Y’all know #keepitreal is my middle name (OK it’s actually JoAnn but whatevs).
If you came to my house right now (please don’t) this is how you’d see me. No filters, no make up, no bra, a tank and leggings. My hair as it was when I woke up and phone is plugged in (always). I also still need my coffee…like 20 minutes ago.
I used to wake up and not even give myself a moments reprieve from negative self talk. When it got to the point of catching myself thinking, “Ugh, if only I could just cut my stomach off!”, I knew a change was needed. That is not OK.
I started replacing those thoughts with positive ones like, “Your eyes are beautiful” or “your hair is amazing” and over time it worked. I said the hateful things less and one day woke up and my first thought was, “You really are beautiful.”
So, let me stick my hips and thighs out a little more and tell the world this is me as I am today and I love me. I don’t give a sh!t what the world says beauty is because I look at my unique beauty every day.
If you look like me you are just as beautiful. If you are super thin with small boobs and a pixie hair cut, you are womanly and gorgeous (if that’s what you want to be).
No matter which adjectives describe you, one thing remains constant…you are beautiful.
Our thoughts are that damn powerful, so use them to your advantage.
